A couple days ago, I spent a day revamping my entire portfolio site. It’s something that I’m going to have to do again for my photography site—but that can wait. The illustration side had been languishing for the better part of a year, and it looked like a bathroom. No, really, it had a blue-green color scheme and an argyle tile background. It looked exactly like a bathroom.
I think the new design—very modern, while somewhat retro—is pretty good. It’s easy to navigate, doesn’t overwhelm the reader with options, and presents information in a concise, easy-to-read way. I’m pretty pleased.
I do have to change web hosts soon, though, and I’m wondering which one I should go with. My current host wants $117 to renew for a year, and I’m certain I could get a better deal—especially because I paid $50 for hosting LAST year with the same company. I think I am going to go with FatCow, since it is only a little over $60 a year. My father uses FatCow and he hasn’t had any problems.
That’s really all I have to say about the website—please, check it out if you haven’t already—I’m off to work on more SEKRIT PROJEKT. :)
